Goodbye 24, Hello 25!
As we step into a new year, it’s always good to reflect on the year behind. 2024 brought more challenges than me and Josh anticipated. Healthwise, we both faced ups and downs. We’re on a journey of discovery, trying to figure things out, and I’m hopeful that 2025 will bring more answers. Despite it all, we survived, always learning and working to improve things—and for that, I’m truly proud of us.
I’m also proud of the art I created this past year. Not only did it help support us, but it also brought bursts of colorful happiness into our lives. I painted florals in the round, fiery skies, and tackled one of the biggest and most challenging seascapes of my professional art career. I sold many originals and prints—prints that I’m especially proud of since I’ve learned how to create them entirely by myself using my own equipment. 2024 also marked the year I started teaching art classes. I participated in more shows than I can count, I loved meeting you all but it almost killed us both. We had good weather, bad weather, free parking, and parking tickets. We laughed, I cried. 😂 There were moments when I felt completely alone and others where I felt like a million bucks. Art is a weird and wonderful world, full of highs and lows.
But through it all, we wouldn’t have made it to this point without your amazing support. To everyone who followed along, took a class, purchased a piece, left a heart, or sent a kind and encouraging message—thank you. We really couldn't do this without you! I was able to help my collectors find 91 pieces of original art for their homes in 2024. As I tally up my tax info for the year, it really makes me feel the warm and fuzzies!
Here are some of my favorite pieces of 2024! Some are available for purchase. Click the pic if you would like to bring it home!
