Online Colorful Knives Class - December 14th 2024
Annie is now happy to offer online a virtual version of the Colorful Knives Class. You will learn how to use palette knives and oils to create a vibrant impressionist ocean scene. Annie will share her a little of her story and inspiration and get right into the instruction. One camera will be on her palette, the other on her canvas. You will see up close and in detail how she mixes her simple color palette to create her art using palette knives. Online classes are perfect if you want to try something new in the comfort of your own home! As always, Annie’s classes are a judgement free zone.

This online 3 hour workshop is perfect for artists of all levels who are eager to explore the techniques of oil painting with palette knives. Whether you’re a beginner looking to learn the basics or an experienced painter aiming to add texture and looser strokes to your art, this class will provide you with valuable skills and an enjoyable experience. The class will be recorded and sent out after to all those in attendance. The class will be focused on her and her technique. The chat will be available for questions during class.

• Introduction to Color Theory: Brief overview focusing on using a limited palette to achieve color harmony.
• Palette Knife Techniques: Learn how to use palette knives to create expressive, textured effects in oil paint.
• Creating an Ocean Scene: Step-by-step guidance on completing an impressionist painting of an ocean scene, using the techniques discussed.
Materials: A list of suggested materials will be emailed shortly after booking. Annie highly suggests investing in the materials listed. Product quality and color varies greatly.
