Private Group Colorful Knives Class
I am now happy to offer private group classes in your space or beach home. Invite friends, family, or fellow artists that would like to try something new!
Size: 2 -8 - please ensure there is a work space available for each student. Dining tables and space around the counter is great. Select class size & add to cart.
Duration: 3 hours
Time & Location: Contact me before for availiable dates and times. The location is your choice, I live in Holly Ridge so this is limited to a 45 mile radius of my home. (Wilmington is included!) While checking out please list your preferred dates and times. If we cannot find a date and time that works for both of us, I will happily refund your booking fee.
Skill Level: Beginner to Intermediate
This in person 3 hour workshop is perfect for artists of all levels who are eager to explore the techniques of palette knife painting. Whether you’re a beginner looking to learn the basics or an experienced painter aiming to add texture and looser strokes to your art, this class will provide you with valuable skills and an enjoyable experience.
What You Will Learn:
• Introduction to Color Theory: Brief overview focusing on using a limited palette to achieve color harmony.
• Palette Knife Techniques: Learn how to use palette knives to create expressive, textured effects in oil paint.
• Creating an Ocean Scene: Step-by-step guidance on completing an 8x10 canvas painting of a captivating ocean scene, using the techniques discussed.
Materials Provided: All necessary materials, including oil paints, palette knives, and an 8x10 canvas, will be provided. I will need some set up time before the class begins, and clean up time after. I bring everything to protect your table and all the supplies, and I will handle all the set up and clean up. One person in the class will win my piece!
