Echoes | 18 x 24 Topsail Bumblebee Tower 3

$700.00

Bumblebee… If you’ve ever visited Topsail, you’ve probably noticed the unique towers scattered around the island. Curious about them myself, I discovered they were part of Operation Bumblebee, a secret Navy missile testing project after World War II. Several of these observation towers still stand as relics of the island’s history.

I’ve been wanting to capture one in a painting for years, but man-made, utilitarian structures aren’t usually my thing. However, these decaying towers set against the stunning natural backdrop of Topsail truly spark a sense of reflection. I’m thrilled with how this one turned out. It’s the perfect way to bring a piece of Topsail’s charm and history into your home!
